Online brainstorming

Well I love brainstorming and mapping things.
Now I found two online tools;
- Bubble .us ~ an online mapping tool which you can use for brainstorming.pic src = http://mindmapping.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/bubbleus.jpg
- Thinkature ~ a kind of virtual whiteboard where you can add topics, remove them and move them around.

I do not really know how all these tools work, but I will try to find out the coming time. They certainly look good to me.

iDuck

Just saw this on Engadget and I think the iDuck rocks. Now just find a place where you can buy these cool things for a reasonable price.

Wireless power?

One of my biggest material design dreams would be to have wireless power. That you wouldn't need a plug when using your laptop, yeah I know such a thing has a battery. But as your laptop gets older the battery gets useless after a while. Further it would be great just to take your laptop with you without any cables. Theoratically seen this would mean that you also can charge your mobile phone or iPod anywhere.
Well back to reality, there is a company that claims to have a wireless power technology called eCoupled, based on an induction technology. More info on their website.

How stupid are Americans?

Just have a look at this and it just confirms what we already knew. But they are a fascinating nation ....

What were you listening today?

As some people might know, I'm a big fan of old vinyl records. To be honest I do not have an extensive collection but enough to please me. Big part of the collection is my Queen collection, some of them unpacked, but therefore I have the digital version somewhere.
Now what did I listen today:
- Born in the USA - Bruce Springsteen (Still my alltime favorite, I just love the sound of it, just uptempo and then Bruce almost screaming in his mic)
- Flash Gordon - Queen (Strange album, written for the movie Flash, but the sentence: I'm Flash, quarterback of the New York Yanks, and the bass of Mr. Deacon makes it rocking)
- Greatest Hits I - Queen( Yeah sometimes I just need a dosis hits to keep going and do some kaoke)
- Roger Taylor - Fun in Space (Drumer of Queen with his first and best solo record)
- Abba - Super Trouper (typing a report can be boring sometimes, and then such a record is quite fun)
- Elton John - Tumbleweed Connection (I just love the inlay and the whole cover, but the record is good too. Great graphical style the record cover has :-) )

All terrain laptop

An all terrain laptop, jep such a thing you can use everywhere and anytime. It would be specially for the military, ambulance staff, firefighters and the police. But I think it is made especially for me :-) . Why? I like to feed my computer coca cola, that costed me 60 euro's at that point. Further I have the tendency to let things drop, my laptop never luckily till now. So I think my next laptop should be an all-terrain laptop, how great that I can choose from 3 manufacturers; Dell, HP and Panasonic.

DarkRoom and Youtube

I had to do some typing work and therefore I tried Darkroom, the program I posted about a few days ago. To be honest it is a great program, brings back my first typing experience with using WordPerfect 5.1 on a 2.86 . It is a great tool, type full screen, two big disadvantages: no way to style your text (bold and italic etc.) and you only can save your document as txt file. This means that you always need Word or another processor to get a document everybody will be able to use.

Another interesting thing is the iPhone hunt Apple is doing, everywhere movies are posted and then again deleted. Just going to try it here with a Youtube movie with a persiflage on the iPhone.

L'Amour

L'Amour, love, my favorite collection of Nokia phones. I felt totally in love with the Nokia 7360 when I saw it the first time, it is a bling-bling phone but it has something. A great play between a leather textured back, white plastic and metal. Further it is a telephone you can use to call, how rarely to have a phone without bluetooth and mp3-player.
I totally love my phone and when somebody sees my phone they always to hold it and see how it is looking.Pic src = http://www.nokia.de/de/28/186272.data.jpg

Your own Nintendo DS iPod

Great thing I found today on Bright.nl is the possibility somebody found to put an iPod with touchschreen on a Nintendo DS lite. So now you don't have to wait for the iPhone, unless you want to call ...
Movie can be found here.

Ruba Rombic

I'm totally fascinated by the Ruba Rombic serie designed by Reuben Haley. The serie is designed in 1927 as a line of glassware called Ruba Rombic for the Consolidated Glass Company of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, USA. This glassware line was introduced to the glass buying trade in January 1928 at the annual industry show at the Fort Pitt hotel in Pittsburgh.
I'm just fascinated by all the forms that all the pieces have, I now and then have a look at Google to see what is ther while I find some new pictures every time.

Dark Room

Heuhm .... you're now probably thinking on some kind of gaylord bar, am I wrong?
Well I can tell you, you're wrong. DarkRoom is a program like Word but has a full screen function. This means that you can type and are not disturbed by MSN, Skype or anything else. The looks are a kind of word perfect 5.1 .I'm currently trying the programm, and I think it is working quite well.

Tag cloud

I've been fascinated by the tag cloud for some time. Just fascinating to have such a kind of visual representation of tags, or search terms. I've now integrated one here on my blog, see right side, it is a kind of sideway solution as the tags link back to del.ico.us . So I can use some improvement here but that will certainly come.

Building sculptures

I love those office gadgets with which you can play.
A thing I have for some time but becomes more and more fun is my magnetic sculpture unit.
You just use magnets to build a sculpture and when you're bored again you build a new sculpture.
